09/16/2020 Mercedes Settlement Preliminary Approval Order. On 9/16/2020, the Court entered an Order that preliminarily approved the Mercedes Class Action Settlement.
10/21/2020 Bosch Settlement Preliminary Approval Order. On 10/21/2020, the Court entered an Order that preliminarily approved the Bosch Class Action Settlement.
03/09/2021 US-CA Consent Decree Order. On 03/09/2021, the Court entered an Order and Memorandum that approved the Motion to Enter Consent Decree.
05/24/2021 Deadline to Exclude Yourself or Opt-Out of the Class. If you exclude yourself from the Class (‘opt out’), you will receive no payment under the Class Action Settlements and you will keep the right to sue the Mercedes Defendants and Bosch Defendants about the claims in this case. If you choose to exclude yourself from the Class, you can still receive the AEM and Extended Modification Warranty.
05/24/2021 Deadline to Object to the Class Action Settlements. If you object to either or both of the Class Action Settlements, you will remain in the Class. You must submit a Claim Form to receive a cash payment.
05/24/2021 Deadline to Submit a Notice of Appearance. Even if you don’t object, you may appear at the hearing by filing a Notice of Appearance by May 24, 2021.
07/12/2021 Final Approval Hearing. The Court will hold a Fairness Hearing on July 12, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, located at the Martin Luther King Building & United States Courthouse, 50 Walnut Street, Newark, NJ 07102
07/12/2021 Deadline to Complete a Claim.

Former Owners/Lessees: If you are a former owner or lessee of a Registered Subject Vehicle, you will receive a payment if you submit a Valid Claim by July 12, 2021, or by the date the Court finally approves the Mercedes Class Action Settlement (if after July 12, 2021). For updates about this deadline, please continue to monitor this website.
10/01/2022 Deadline to Complete the AEM and Submit a Claim. 

Current Owners/Lessees:
If you are a current owner or lessee of a Registered Subject Vehicle and have not opted-out from the Class, you can receive a payment after the AEM installation is completed. To receive a payment, you must submit a Valid Claim by October 1, 2022. If you do not install the AEM by this date, you will not receive a payment, but the AEM will still be available after October 1, 2022.
